SMS / Text Messaging Program
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Golden State CCTV, Inc. (“Golden State CCTV,” “we,” “us”) offers an SMS text messaging program to help our customers manage their security camera and low-voltage service appointments. This page describes how the program works and your choices.
What messages we send
When you provide your mobile number, we may send you SMS text messages related to the service you requested, including appointment reminders, appointment confirmations, technician arrival windows, and schedule changes, and, after your service is complete, a one-time message inviting you to share feedback about your experience. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.
How you opt in
You opt in to receive text messages by providing your mobile phone number to Golden State CCTV and agreeing to receive texts. There are three ways to opt in:
1. By phone. When you book a service appointment by calling (619) 257-2577, our receptionist asks for your consent verbally before any text is sent. The exact question asked on every booking call is: “Is it alright if we send you an email invite and a quick text about this appointment?” Only if you answer yes do we send you texts about that appointment.
2. Online. When you request an estimate through our booking form at goldenstatecctv.com/book, you may check the consent box that reads: “By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Golden State CCTV about my appointment (confirmations, reminders, and technician arrival updates) at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”The checkbox is unchecked by default — you must actively check it to consent, and consent is never required to book. A screenshot of this opt-in is shown below:

3. In person. You may give consent verbally to our staff when scheduling on site.
Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your service activity (typically a few messages per appointment).
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, according to the rate plan you have with your mobile carrier.
How to opt out
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. You may also call our office to opt out.
Help
If you are experiencing issues, reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at (619) 257-2577. Carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and their affiliates) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information sharing exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. For more detail on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy. Your use of this program is also subject to our Terms of Service.
